This has a couple of angles on this topic:
All Physical memory being used but nothing showing in task manager - Microsoft Community

Note the comment about data loaded into RAM- not necessarily exe's or dlls.

The top file is an O&O disk image file I've just created and written to an external USB.
The second is part of creating OO DiskImage's bootable CD

Indeed, but in OP's case it seems, that only MRT is taking most of the RAM and that is only 152 MB.
I can not really comment on the other data like mapped file, since RamMap does not work on mine PC.

Hi, thank you for all the replies. I already had superfetch, as well as search, disabled when I took those screens. I still can not figure out why half of my ram is being dedicated to "mapped file" and why I should be at nearly 90% usage when running only firefox. I had to stop using chrome as it was always sure to max out my ram. Any advice on this would be great.

Hi, I'm having the same issue, it started when I created a virtual machine (VM) with Docker for Windows. I stopped superfetch and It still persisted.

The VM is not running and it still the RAM shows as mapped file.

If I figure it out I ll share.

Thnx for the reply, I did do that. It is not a single process but a bunch of them. It seems it is some kind of cache. I will try to deactivate superfetch and restarting the PC.

RAMMAP doesn't seem to be working in Windows 10 1803. When fired up, the RamMap's main interface is empty. Trying to refresh under the File tab makes the app simply closed. Does anyone know why?. The problem seems to be widespread:
