    Problem with cursor Windows 10

I had purchased a brand new Dell laptop with Windows 10 back in August and since that time, I have been dealing with cursor lagging/freezing issues. I have spent countless hours searching for a solution and talking to Dell without any fix. Any ideas?

look for a newer update for your mouse.....from Dell......if that doesn't work...try running from a command prompt admin SFC /SCANNOW and see if it finds any errors.

Drivers and software is up to date, doing the scan as we speak.

    *Edit*
Command prompt did not find any errors.

Well then if Windows has no errors....and your mouse drivers are from Dell....and have not been replaced by Microsoft, because MS has a habit of replacing drivers on every update with their own, then I am out of idea's. Did you check for new updates yet?? Assuming you are running Windows 10.

Yeah my laptop is updating, but the problem is progressively getting worse as the cursor only lasts a few seconds before freezing.

One other thought.... can you replace this mouse on your laptop...or is it built-in type? If you can replace your mouse, with another one, I would do that, the prices for mice are cheap. Get a Logitech mouse.

I've never had a mouse, it's from the trackpad.

Well then it could be an internal problem with your laptop. You said its new, so I assume its under warranty ?? Or you could try plugging in a different mouse into a usb port and see if that works. Does sound like something is wrong with your laptop.

The problem with that is this is already my second laptop as the original one I bought had internal problems, so this is the one I got under warranty.
