Hi,
Same here but "DiskCleanUp" is just as nuts as well:But to be honest I didn't even know about this Storage setting area, until David pointed this out. Learn something new everyday. :)
Isn't it great to have a computer that just can not compute ?
Cheers,
Hi,
The reason IE cache shows as empty is because it contains hidden files. So, at least to my "logic" it should not say a folder's empty when it clearly is not.
With hidden system files viewable, DiskCleanup is still off the mark though.
O well........... No wonder people are getting as confused as barking birds.
Cheers,
Look at post #30 on page 3 on here MS23. David shows you were you can check the size of your Internet cache, AND adjust its size. See what it is set to right now MS23, really does not need to be any bigger than say 200MB to 250MB
You can also run this Disk Cleanup command from your Command prompt (admin) and check everything on disk cleanup.
copy and paste this....
%SystemRoot%\System32\Cmd.exe /c Cleanmgr /sageset:65535 & Cleanmgr /sagerun:65535
OK, MS23. What is your System Protection set at? Check at Control Panel / System and Security / System / (on the left) Advanced system Settings / System Protection (tab) / Configure (with any drive having "Protection" ON). Check Current Usage and Max Usage?Never mind, OT, sorry.
