I also ran 3 of my programs that delete ALL temporary files that they find......didn't even make a dent in those mystery temp files.
Also I closed all my app's few mins ago....logged off here....nothing running but windows trying to remove those temp files....then fired up task manager....looked at disk 0 and it was not doing anything....no access by any program.
The only one that could make a dent to the temp files is the TFC I posted at the beginning.
OK, well, fair enough, and I appreciate your thought process, Mike. Unfortunately, I gotta hang things up for the night - still have sleep deficit from the holidays.
Just one thought - would like to hear what browser MS23's using and what their browser cache size is set at. I helped another user here once that had his system restore set at something like 300 GB and couldn't figure out what was taking up all that space until we ran across that setting.
As far as my system restore, I delete it almost everyday, think its set around 1.5 GB. But yes, tell me about this browser cache size setting.....after you get some rest.....I still would love to know exactly WHERE these temp files are located thou??? As I know that IF they really exist I could delete them in 2 mins or less....without using windows.
Well some of my programs ARE removing them, as mine was only 256MB to begin with, and looking at that program you used, it didn't seem to remove all of them either. Actually 256MB is kinda small. Still want to find just WHERE these temp files are, that windows takes hours to TRY and remove. Like I said....this just seems to be another bug to me.
Oh well.....time to watch my TV shows.....lol Take care guys!!
