Unable to repair Windows10 using SFC/DISM or in-place upgrade

Okay it was a browser issue. I'm downloading the iso now. Couple questions. I do have a nvidia card. Should I still use this method or the other link provided for nvidia issue? My error was the same 0x800f081f source files not found.

Also, did you guys change the group policy editor to enable alternate source path? Mine was disabled by default.... Not sure if it needs to be modified?

Haha it's a setting some people have changed in the "group policy editor". I guess I will leave it disabled by default. I will check nvidia as well. Okay about to try this, it just finished downloading....

Okay this sounds dumb but when he said "click mount", is that literally all you do before entering the command line entry? Because after I click mount, it goes into my file explorer and I see a bunch of files.... Do I do anything else in file explorer?

After you clicked mount, it assigns a drive letter too, then go to the "setup.exe" file and hit enter. Then when everything is done, and rebooted, you have to dis-mount that drive. Just like if you were using a DVD drive.

Well i did it before i read this. Didn't end up hitting enter on setup.exe. But everything seems good now. Dism and sfc are passing. I rebooted and rescanned and they are still good. FWIW, all my nvidia drivers were up to date and I didn't touch those at all.

Was the nvidia opencl.dll issue fixed yet? I read the thread and saw that microsoft was on it. Not sure if it's been fixed yet.

On a side note, I've had graphics issues even before I updated to windows 10. I came from windows 7. My problem is that when I have my ff browser open, if I minimize it, and am working in another window on something else, and go back to the browser window later on, it sometimes is blank and the images don't show up until I move my cursor over it. It's random though, and not every time. Any idea what I should try to fix it? I wondered if it was just a firefox issue....

But if you ran sfc and it found no problems .....then guess the opencl.dll issue is fixed on your computer.
Good job in repairing your computer too!!! Now would be a good time to make a Complete Image Backup, and store this on a 2nd drive or flash drive. :) We like to suggest everyone to use Macrium Reflect for their image backups. :)

I was curious about windows 10 restart times. Do you know what's normal for restart time? I'm clocking mine from time I click restart, to the time my desktop is back and fully loaded, and it's about 2 minutes.. It seems a little long, however most people only talk about boot time, so I'm not sure if I'measuring the same thing. I've enabled and disabled fast boot and it doesn't make much of a difference, which was expected, as it says that does not affect restarting. I also ran a disk clean and removed the old system files, and a couple defrags. Still restarting at about 2 minutes...
