AMD A series laptop APU in combination with Windows 10.

I have a problem with Windows 10 and the AMD driver for the AMD A8 4500m APU.
After upgrading to Windows 10 everything seemed to work fine, until I updated the graphics driver from the AMD website. The fan kept blowing at full speed all the times. The fan started to blow at 100% as soon as Windows logs in. If i removed the AMD drivers and let Windows 10 install their own again the problem would be gone.

There are no processes that use the processor, show me tops about windows is off and the processor isnt running any hotter than without the driver from the AMD website, this i know simply by feeling the air that comes out of the fan. (While doing something cpu intensive the air gets alot hotter)

Somehow my laptop thinks (dont know if its windows 10 or the amd driver or whatever) that my cpu is at a much higher temperature than it really is. Piriform Speccy shows 95C but it's way colder than that. I know that because the air coming out of the ventilator is ice cold. If i remove the drivers and let windows 10 install their own PiriformSpeccy shows 37C at idle and the fan goes back to normal speed. I have no idea how to fix this though, but now i know it is a software related problem. Who's to blame? Windows or AMD? I hope someone knows the answers to these questions.

APU: AMD A8-4500M Trinity 32nm Technology

Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. K55DR (P0)

    OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit

I forgot to mention that the fan speed is not the only issue. There is also a black screen when windows starts for about 15 seconds that isnt there when i use the windows 10 standard drivers. I noticed it because i use an SSD so my laptop normally starts in a few seconds.

I've seen warnings discouraging laptop users from updating their graphics drivers, unless the drivers come directly from the laptop builders on their support sites.

So, as the doctor would advise, if your elbow hurts when you contort it, don't contort it.

But fallout 4 performs so much better with drivers from the amd website, atleast 15fps difference!

Visit AMD drivers site and download latest 15.12 drivers but for APU not ordinary desktop GPU one. That problem was know to occur before last fix even on desktops.

I removed the AMD software and before windows could install its own version i ran the amd autodetect utility, this should make sure i have the right one right? It's downloading now.

Edit: It downloaded AMD Catalyst instead of crimson i'll try what this does.

Edit2: Same problem as with Crimson, now im going to try to download the Notebook APU driver with crimson software to see what that does.
I followed these steps: I went to driver download center on the amd website, then manual select driver, then filled in: Notebook graphics, HD series, hd7xxm series, windows 10 64bit and downloaded:
Radeon Software 307 MB Crimson Edition 15.12 12/17/2015
I'll keep you posted what it does.

    edit 3:
No crimson software but the new driver does its work, still got good fps in fallout 4. :)

The fix is uninstall the drivers, and update the driver from Device Manager itself. This comes from the AMD site btw.

    Fijne avond.

I understand, but is the fr worth the other problems? Perhaps it's something in the chipset and the didn't test it thoroughly. Wow, who da thunk it THAT? lol

    I have the...

APU - AMD Radeon HD 8550G/CPU: QuadCore AMD A8-5550M

Motherboard - Hewlett-Packard HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC(I know stupid huh?)

    OS - Windows 10 Home 64 bit

Now my problem is something has screwed my HDMI port up. Only recognize one of the TV's I try to use. Everything worked perfect BEFORE adding the Crimson drivers. Plug the other in, shows the video, spans the desktop, but resolution is all wrong. Have no idea what is wrong.
