Settings screen only flashes up then disappears - SFC and DISM issues

I hope someone can help. W10 (64 bit Home) has been working OK on this laptop but recently I have been able to open the settings screen for only a micro-second. Having found people having the same problem I have tried running SFC several times, as suggested, but it says it found an issue it could not resolve.

Again following instructions on the forum I tried running DISM with an iso loaded and this hung at 40% for hours (overnight). I could not find a solution to this, but someone posted their CBS log and was given a solution to the original problem.

I do not understand what to look for in the log file, but there are several lines that mention an error. I attach the log file (zipped as it was too big for the forum), and if anyone can help I would be grateful.

    Thanks
    Peter

Please open an admin command prompt and run the following command (copy/paste this command)
    Code:
    findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt"
On your desktop a file called sfcdetails.txt will be created, please upload this file.

Thanks for your response. I have done as you ask but it is an empty file so I seem not be able to upload it.
If I edit the log file I do not see any [SR] in it, which I presume is what the findstr was looking for.

Something else funny has happened to that laptop (not the one I use for emails) -the screen has turned a sort of aquamarine! I hope you can help me repair windows. Thanks.

I would love to help you, but the details you provide doesn't say anything to me.
Please make a photo of the problem, upload and post the photo Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Ten Forums - Windows 10 Forums
