    Oh. My apology.
I should have re-read your original post to refresh my memory.

I have no answer for you regarding your problem with Backup and Restore.

I am sure someone will come along to help you.
    Good luck.

It's been a long time with no activity on this thread so I will mark it solved. Or maybe there is another designation like "gave up" ?

So I will just live with the warning from backup/restore.

    Cheers,

It's quite possible the Windows.old Folder from Win7 [used for going back to the previous OS] was deleted about 30 days after doing the Upgrade. It's also possible, particularly after doing the Win10 Reset, that the Windows.old Folder was replaced by the Reset, maybe even that an update could do it. Just a few of the variables.

An update: I created a folder called Windows.old in the expected place. Now backup is happy.
I'm wondering if any fallout will happen when windows wants to do updates.

Good thinking larrymcg, windows is easily fooled on things like this, as I posted earlier in this thread my backup/image had an error every time complaining about missing files.

I used search to find those files, copied them and put them where backup said they were missing from and no more errors.

I doubt you'll have any problems with updates.
