    Click the Optimize button.

If it's the SYSTEM volume you're worried about, don't. Otherwise, if you insist, you can try executing "defrag /C /O" from an elevated (admin) command prompt and see if that defrags the system volume.

How can I full Defrag system? Why doesn't it Defrag? What does that entail

I just told you what you can try - just re-read my first post - or tell me what part of it you don't understand. "/C" tells it to perform the operation on all volumes and "/O" tells it to do the proper type of optimization for each volume's media type.

I suspect the Optimize drives GUI will not defrag the SYSTEM volume by default (or design, not sure) because that's not normally a partition that's written too very often and it a special partition that shouldn't be messed with too casually.

Did defrag /C /O defragment your SYSTEM partition?
