Still running, but progress. That command worked. I installed that OSI on D:

I have my original OS on C: drive

then everything else partitioned on D:

Everything I download, drivers, apps, etc. I save on D: If it installs default to C: thats fine, but save all my files on D:

Also have 3TB external with everything backed up but hope not to have to use that.
How did you manage to "Install" the OS-Image file onto a partitioned hard-drive?? I have been trying the commands since 2 days without any luck. My laptop is taking more than two hours to boot up after reaching the blue loading screen with spinning dots. This is bit of a hassle for me really. Tried everything but nothing seems to be rectifying the corrupt files.

I figured out its the opencl.dll file causing trouble. Please can somebody guide me how can I use the available tools to solve this issue, because I don't want to re-install/refresh the OS (lot of apps u see). Also I've read some people haven't been able to fix it otherwise too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Downloaded the ISO (with install.wim file) from the link; probably a build much recent than one installed on my pc

    1. Mount the ISO and copy install.wim from the source folder to Desktop
    2. Create a folder on desktop: mount

    Did both!!

Open Admin Command prompt, copy/paste each line and run:

    1. Dism /mount-wim /wimFile:%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\install.wim /index:1 /MountDir:%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\mount - Error 13 : The Data is invalid
    2. Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth - Have done it several times and got a message image is repairable
    3. Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\mount\windows /LimitAccess
    4. Dism /unmount-wim /Mountdir:%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\mount /discard
    5. re-run: sfc /scannow
NOTE: Might have to run multiple times until it's clean
Please see my comments above, within the quoted text.
