What is the order of your Hard drives in your BIOS now you installed a new SSD.
I read somewhere that the disk with the MBR/GPT needs to have first priority else yout get this kind of faillures.
HD BBS Priorities:
1=P2: PNY (System) >----------------------swapped cables with Seagate------------------> 1=P0: PNY (System)
2=P0: Seagate (Backup) >--------swapped cables with PNY and disabled boot--------> 2=Disabled
3=P3: Western Digital (Storage) >----moved cable to P1 and disabled boot------------> 3=Disabled
Boot Option Priorities:
1=Windows Boot Manager >--------------didn't change-------------------->Windows Boot Manager
2=P2: PNY (System) >----------swapped cables with Seagate---------->2=P0: PNY (System)
Here's the results...
I've NEVER had an issue with putting HDDs on whatever sata I wanted and then setting priorities in bios! Must be an SSD/UEFI thing. Thanks so much for making me feel stupid.
Nobody's wanting to make anybody feel stupid, I don't remember where I picked up that little factoid, probably when I installed my first SSD.
Now you can help somebody else out with a similar problem. Glad it worked out for you :)
