    Windows 10 Reset

I was having a problem with IE 11, so after trying several things, I did a restore to a previous date.

Something went wrong with that and I was getting a BSOD every time I tried to restart. Finally got to a command prompt and was able to run sfc /scannow and got windows to start.

Now, lap top starts up but almost all Microsoft stuff is not working (apps, speaker volume, action center, etc).

I have tried everything I can find on Google (SFC, powerscreen, dism reset) and nothing seems to work.

Other then a full on reset, does anyone have any ideas what else I might try?

Hello travelguy, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

If you like, you might see if a repair install may be able to sort it without losing anything.

I appear to still be having a problem with the apps opening - says 'there is a problem opening and to contact my system administrator to reinstall or repair' - Any thoughts on that?

See if using the tutorial below to re-register all your modern apps may be able to help.

If not, then you might see if the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter may be able to help.
