    Google Tasks Unnecessary?

When I examined the startup programs under Task Manager right after I did a cold boot, I noticed several instances of Google Chrome and Google Installer already running.

Is that supposed to happen? Are those all necessary?

Those are auto-updates for Google to automatically update Chrome without user intervention.

I don't like Google Chrome because of this bloat and excessive RAM use. That's why I use IE.

Then again, your specs are well capable of this so you can leave those alone.
