I think I know why I am getting out of memory errors

    Here are two screenshots

    1) The amount of memory I'm using - as in, I'm out of memory (just before it crashed, it was at 22.7GB)

    2) My swap file size - as in, why isn't it increasing the current size? Shouldn't W10 dynamically increase the size as it needs? At any one time, shouldn't the swap file be at least 2GB or so bigger than the amount currently in use? I'd actually assumed this - I'd assumed W10 was increasing the swap file size as it needs - apparently it isn't.

In my Windows 7 system, when it was spinning disk based I used to get a lot of system slowdown as it approached the current limit, and it increased the size. That slowdown has completely disappeared on my Windows 7 system since using an SSD - it just does it
