I`m looking for the version of Windows 10 that introduced the SSD management software. The software that controls the ssd to cpu which bypasses the sata bridge, I am going totally ssd and no more sata`s. Thanks.
SSDs are the type of drive and can be either SATA or NVMe M.2 connections or the soldered-on type. I have computers with HDDs and SSDs that use the SATA connection and the M.2 connection. Two Desktops use both M.2 and SATA. The Desktops also have HDD data storage drives using SATA connection. An inexpensive Notebook has the soldered-on SSD.
