    Deleting widows.old

I'm beginning to get a little tight on C drive space. If I delete windows.old will I delete my windows media player which I have grown to love over time, it is now an old friend. If I do lose it what can a I replace it with that can pickup on everything in WMP including all the album covers that I have traced and added that WMP could not find. Whatever replaces it must be as simple and as easy to use. Just don't swear at me by mentioning Iplayer I have just dumped my IPhone and everything to do with it.
I'm looking forward to some sensible replies that an old man of seventy can easily use
    Regards
    David

Deleting windows.old has absolutely nothing to do with your WMP.
    Go ahead and delete windows.old.
Your WMP will stay put without a scratch.
WMP is part of Windows 10 operating system. It won't get deleted by deleting windows.old.

Just to make sure you are aware of this................... without windows.old you will not be able to go back to your previous OS unless you download the iso file and do a reinstall manually.
