Memory Usage Stays High After Closing Program

    I'm using a Dell XPS 8930 with 16 GB memory. Win 10 / 19044

When closing certain programs that demand high memory usage I notice on my mem-info indicator on the taskbar that the memory stays high...maybe 70%. I can reboot to bring the memory down to say 30% but I'm wondering if there is a quicker way to bring that memory usage down?

    Thanks

Have you opened Task Manager to see if anything is still using memory? What certain programs are you having issues with?

Open Task Manager > Processes Tab.

Sort CPU usage column by clicking on the title such that highest usage is at the top.

That should enable you to identify things to look in to.

Post a screenshot anip of Task Manager with processes sorted high to low. Use Process Explorer. If Mbam is the problem, stop running it and use just Windows Defender.

Why are you running PresentMon? It will always eat up memory.

    I'm not sure I understand your post. Should I just delete from: C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\FrameViewSDK\bin ?
