I miss getting MoUsoCoreWorker.exe once in a while. At least it's easy to deal with. I haven't figured out how to deal with this preventing sleep:
    Code:
    DISPLAY:
    None.
    SYSTEM:
    None.
    AWAYMODE:
    None.
    EXECUTION:
    [SERVICE] \Device\HarddiskVolume3\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\Schedule2\schedul2.exe (AcrSch2Svc)
    Acronis Scheduler2 Service
    PERFBOOST:
    None.
    ACTIVELOCKSCREEN:
    None.
I could not find anything in Acronis KnowledgeBase other than this very old thread
40775: True Image 2013 by Acronis: Nonstop Backup Prevents Machine from Going into Sleep Mode Automatically
and I could not find anything relevant in their user forums
    Acronis user forums
other than a reference to checking Advanced options [which, for me, only appear when I have a backup configured so would just be, in effect, another reference to NonStopBackup]

This problem only started after I upgraded from Acronis True Image 2018 to Acronis True Image 2021. I never had the sleep problem before that. I am seriously thinking of going back to Acronis True Image 2018. I don't want to disable the scheduler because I want to do automatic updates at night.

I will never go back to manual backups. The reason is they will never get done. I started doing automatic backups after I had a 700GB drive fail with no backup for the data on it.

OK: override deleted, checked for updates: none

So now we wait and see what happens...
.. and hey presto! 2 days ago the same issue came back, same cause - but I didn't have the inclination to do anything until today. No failed or incomplete updates to see. I am now going to add the override and leave it there....

My alternative solution is to pause Windows Updates for 35 days, unpause it after I make a full backup prior to patch Tuesday, then pause it again. MS is become too aggressive with jamming optional updates down my throat.

Note that with Windows Updates paused the PC will still receive AV signature updates - as I would want it to.

As of Wednesday March 10, 2021 nothing had changed. My computer would not go to sleep by itself after the set timeout period.

On March 11, 2021 Acronis released an update to Acronis True Image 2021 (Build 39184). I installed it on my main desktop. Since then this computer has been going to sleep normally again.

    Update:

I updated Acronis True Image 2021 on my other desktop and laptop. They are also sleeping normally again.

Yep, so far so has mine There does not seem to be a repeat of the sleep issues. I'm going to take your suggestion of sleeping the updates for 7 days but can I safely assume that anything related to security patches or updates to Defender signatures are still updated in the background regardless of delaying the main update?

I'm sleeping updates for the max 35 days - and don't trust me - just look at WU history every day and you'll see AV signatures get updated even if WU is on

"security patches" are not the same as "updates to Defender signatures" and, apart from the WD exception, your decision to delay WU will delay things you might regard as "security patches".

In between Version updates, all WU are essentially "security patches".
