I hate to keep hitting you with bad news, but I can't find any good news! You may as well re-install the CC if you want, apparently there is no connection with CC and the fans controls. Just verify you have the right Installer.

    Darn.

Do you have any solution to getting the thermal controls to finally come up on CC?

Based on all the quotes from the Dell forums, M15 users cannot change the profiles for the fans. If you get the CC to install and run right, you'll find the Thermometer option just show current temps. Mine is not like that at all! Since you've Revo'd (that's the term we use when uninstall using Revo) the CC, make sure you have the correct installer, go ahead and install it again, and see what you get. I would be very, very surprised if you can change the fan profiles. But, you can try and see.

Okay. From your response and the responses on the Dell forums, looks like I may be stuck with this problem for awhile.

As long as this is just an inconvenience and not a danger to my fan, I suppose I can deal with it.

I didn't read anywhere that it self-destructed or caused any damage, but I agree it's an inconvenience at the very least. I'm sorry you have to live with it. If I were you, I'd sign on to one of the threads and voice your opinion, loudly! It seems that only a BIOS change will fix it for you, and all the others.

Again, sorry. Not much can be done.

I'll just post this, you may already have it. The M15 BIOS manual. I could not find anything to tweak concerning thermal and/or profiles for the fans.
