When SFC can't fix the problem(s), run this command...

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

...then run SFC again, to make sure the problems were fixed.

Don't worry, this can be fixed.

When SFC cannot fix some corrupt files it almost always means they are corrupted in the Component Store too.

Use DISM's RestoreHealth option to fix the component store, then run SFC again. It should then be able to fix everything.

Use the procedure described in the notes at the end of the SFC tutorial's Option 3
    SFC - TenForumsTutorials
Note, in particular, the need to be connected to the internet when you run that Dism command.

If you have any remaining faults then use the tutorial's Option 5 to extract them from the log so you can post them here as a short text file.

    Best of luck,
    Denis

    Hello @Murf1954,

I would suggest running DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and then running SFC again after it has completed.

    I hope this helps.

Well, I have the excuse that I was posting at the same time as you

Anyway, it's reassuring to get a consensus opinion where everyone says the same thing.

I have the twin excuses that I am very slow at finishing posts & you did not mention the essential requirement, as stated in at the end of Option 3, to be connected to the internet for that Dism command.

    All the best,

I thought about mentioning that, but then thought it would take all the fun out of it.
