    Thinking of some changes.....

    whats up guys?

So, im thinking of doing some changes with my 3 PCs.

At home i have my rig listed below.

with me rite now, i have my laptop which is an i7 4720HQ at 3.6 and a gtx 980m

and i want to build a miniITX PC that has an i5 6600k and EVGA gtx 1070 or 1080.

currently i am stationed overseas hence why i bought this laptop for $1600 a few months ago. but now that im here, i have 2 years here and was thinking about 1) either shipping my PC at home (risk damage and lost) or 2) selling my PC at home, giving my laptop to my mom, and building that micro ITX where im stationed. what do you guys think? how much do you think i can get for my PC at home? i was thinking $1500 for everything.

The problem with this is im basically starting over from scratch and im not really sure how i feel about that. while here, i will have to get another monitor (1080p) and i know damn well that that thing is getting sold once i move from here.

Hello. You refer to the system listed in "specs" ...

That's nice hardware. Depends who your target is.
A big box store roamer might not have a clue what a 3770k is.
I'm not sure how many builders look to ebay.

Might be best to find a consignment shop or try a free listing service.

$1500 is a lot of coin for the average shopper who might be fine
    with a new $500 all-in-one from Walmart.

Remove the RAM and GPU, wrap everything with bubblewrap, also stuff the case so nothing is jostled around

^^This.....and put desiccant packs in with the packing / box.

The chances of getting $1500 for that rig back here in the states is pretty slim. I'd guess closer to $1k, probably less.
