    I7 or I5

Hi all the question is what would be better a I7 4790k or a i5 6600k they are the same price here . I know the 6600k is newer but what would you go with?

If the price is not a factor go for the I7.

For the same price, I would not hesitate to get the i7.

Different cpus for different sockets hence different mobos and different chipsets.
A I7 4790K for the price of an I5 6600K sounds like a good deal processor wise but that's where it ends.

What are you going to use this computer for? You can't just buy an i7 because it's an i7 remember it's about making the right choice.

If you're gaming then I'd get the i5 because i7s are made for gaming and heavy computing tasks such as video editing

Go for the I7 then. It's great for what you want to use it for and given it's the same price as the I5 I think it's a deal.
