Well,., FWIW.. I just gave an option to the OP. No more.. no less.
FWIW....NewEgg generally uses the somewhat inept USPS, which tries to cram a MB into the mailbox! Or tosses it onto the porch from 15' away.
Service counts, too.
It also depends on where you live. The USPS does great service in my town and Amazon is using USPS more and more. Even with two day shipping I had the package shipped via USPS.
Good to see there's still a decent Post Office somewhere, and you have no issues to report. Certainly not around here.
In the FWIW department, I always buy from Amazon. I have bought thousands of dollars of computer components from Newegg. I have had some terrible experiences with them. I refuse to buy anything from them. Amazon has the best Customer Service and return policy of anyone. I always buy from Amazon, even if it costs a few dollars more. However, in the OPs case, I would find out about Microcenter's return policy since they are local. I don't have a Microcenter near me, but I have heard they have good prices. The ability to buy local, if they have a good return policy, would be a real advantage. Failing that I would buy from Amazon. Newegg has cheated me out of the last dollar they will ever see from me.
Good info and advice, Steve, coming from your years of hands-on experience and knowledge. Reinforces that, maybe, Newegg is not also a great source for parts.
Thanks, TC
