Mine took 150 seconds. How do you all get it under a minute?

I'm sure MS will issue fixes that eventually bring the times down. I have noticed that 10 seems to take longer than 8.1. But everything else seems to run faster than 8.1, at least my own experience with all my computers and business computers.

^ wow that's fast. I should have specified the only thing I noticed slow in 10 was the login wait time (to the desktop). Everything else appeared faster.

What is your Windows 10 Restart Time?-win-10-boot-time-4-sep-2015.jpgthe boot time is in milisecs. so 31403 is 31 seconds and change. cold boot. i do not have boot screen or login screen turned off so, i would assume those are a drag on faster boot times

I'm very disappointed Windows 10 boot time. With 7/8.1 Windows boot takes less than 30 seconds.

whats the best way to speed up the loading of windows? because for me; right now; it takes like 2 minutes. I thought my system would be a lot faster than this considering I have a 7200 rpm hd; and its connected via sata III which is supposed to be 6gb/s. But I know Im not getting that.

Did you try disabling some Startup items. I only have graphics and mouse enabled. The rest are disabled.

All of us with SSD's let's just blame it on BIOS to CMOS to Windows lag

    Last night I got 38sec. It's usually around 45sec.

Actually I did a restart before I tried the test, to make sure all background stuff was closed and PendingFileRename operations didn't "influence" the reboot. Then after about 30 to 45 seconds after the desktop appeared actuated the Restart Time. Oh well from a cold boot(WinX shutdown before hand(which is also faster)) my desktop appears instantly after BIOS, and funny wise, using fast startup a slight delay. I'm guessing it's my weaker CPU(it's not bad, but not an i7) that slows down the BIOS>CMOS>Windows.
