Yea, I like the VR idea, and maybe the usefulness of 4K monitors will improve someday. I see no need for them now. I just recall pretty much the same debate about 1080 monitors several years ago. Now it is pretty much the standard. Maybe one day 4K will be. The prices will have to come way down before that happens though. BTW, I only game on 1 monitor. My neck gets sore with 3 of them. :)

It's a good experience in driving games but anything beyond that is too much like you said

VR is awesome but dangerous too if you're not careful lol

Stephanie, it depends on how much you want to spend. I agree with solarstarshines. All of the 900 cards are dropping in price. You can get some really good deals now, if you hunt for them. They will have a big improvement over what you have now. If you can afford it, I would go with a 1060 or even a 1070. They have so far shown to be a big improvement over the 900 cards, they will be supported by Nvidia longer and will have longer support in the software you use. So, basically I am agreeing with Solar.

If money is your most important factor, find a good deal on a 900 card. If performance and longer support are more important than the money, get a 10XX card.

Asus makes some good cards. I am a very big EVGA guy, solar is a Gigabyte guy. We all have our preferences and most all the manufacturers make some good cards. Asus has some very good cards too. Just whatever you decide to buy, do your research first. Read the user reviews and the professional reviews. I'm more of a believer in user reviews. If you do your homework, whatever brand and model you decide on will be a good card.

Yeah just thinking my PSU has 2x6pin for GPU power some of the 10XXs cards are 8 pin I could use an adapter :)
