Replace my PC LCD SCREEN with another brand all sockets fit??
Hey guys i have a question i have a Philips LCD PC Monitor where the board is fried its a 23 inch,
I also have a Samsung 19 inch same year but only 19 inch but all the wiring color codes are a exact match.
Can i use my 23 inch with the Samsung, or will it fry my board.
I can imagine some issues, I SHOULD NOT USE THE BUTTONS ON THE OLD SAMSUNG SCREEN because they do different things , they have 3 things in common wiring colorcodes are a perfect match power button and the "auto feature BUT not located the same place on the side of screen only the power button match" so i should prob not use the auto features or menu because even though both screens have that feature, my guess is that because they are not in the same place it might send the wrong signal
My Samsung has
Power menu up down auto buttons
Phillips
Power up menu down turbo auto buttons on the side.
But i really just need the power button everything else Windows controls
BUT the size might be a problem if Windows does not control all of it because my samsung is a 19 inch and if i replace screen with a 23 inch well my Samsung MB still thinks its a 19 Inch
So can i use my 23 phillips 23 inch with my samsung 19 inch "replacing the 19 inch with the 23.)
The reason i want to do this is because i get bigger and my Phillips has a much better Image.
I was totally amazed ever color code and screen fittings are a match, they are both made in Taiwan same year.
So i am guessing same factory made it.
So brainstorm a bit if you got something i will just use power button on my samsung and let Windows control the rest because, if i press a button on screen and it sends the wrong signal well ouch. i have done similar with laptop screen but all same size "15" never tried with a Desktop PC LCD
I really hope it will work but do not want to fry the MB on my Samsung without checking with the Tech Guru's in here
Forgot to mention they are both 1920x1080 1080p just different size and both use DVI
