Thanks. When I first built it, I decided 4.5 would be a good 24/7 OC. I worked up to that point and have never tried to go any higher. I'm sure I could, but I think I got most of that out of my system with some earlier builds.

I figured I'd nip that urge in the bud before it even had a chance to start. I wanted an OC, but I wasn't picky; I had seen video after video where AI Suite was able to achieve a solid and very stable overclock all on its own without needing to tinker with things and push it to its limit. I wanted something that would help my render times and such, but wouldn't leave me worrying about how long my computer is going to survive. Hands down, this thing is waaaayyy more powerful than my i7-2720QM laptop. :)

Yea, these things are pretty strong. When I first got it a started rendering, it made me wish I had bought the 5960X. With the right programs, they will do pretty darn good.

Looks like 4.6ghz is the sweet spot for 24/7 3770K chips. I actually forgot what mine was and had to check. After a few mega runs when new, this has been my 24/7 since the machine was built.

Tbh, new CPUs and overclocking just isn't fun anymore. Too easy. Set and forget and worse - no real payoff anymore

Patrick, you can do better than that. I know you! But, I think 4.6 is the 'sweet spot' for those.
