Hi, Peter! Out of curiosity, what have you decided to use for this backup?

TC, I am under the impression that he is planning to try the 32 GB SD card.

Today it would have to be a 16 gb thumb drive or a 32gb sd but simrick said the sd wont work quit right but - in and emergency it would be better than nothing or wait about 3 wks and take a chance until I can get the right one so @f14tomcat it's your call Sir

Here"s a paste of what @simrick said a bout backing up this----

The problem with the SD card is, with FAT formatting, (no option there), Macrium will do the image in 4GB chunks; it will be cumbersome and take hours instead of minutes. Plus, you'll only get 1 image on it, and you really want to keep at least 3 at a time. If you think you can safely last for 3 weeks until the refi comes through, that's your call, but please let TC know - he's worried about this one "loose end". If you want to do the SD card temporarily for now, that might be a good idea, just for the 3 weeks you have to wait.

That keyboard looks and sounds awesome The case looks like it will hold everything I need plus some in a few years if I go with a different graphics card and if I need to overclock it looks like it will hold the card and the over sized fan with no problem -----@simrick The suggestions to go to different stores for certain parts is that for price, quality or both? If it's for price I might be able to justify a discount and free shipping at Parts Picker???

Hi Peter. I think, for purchasing, you want to try and stick with *one* reputable supplier. That makes things easier if you need to return stuff that arrives damaged or non-functional (yes, it happens). Then also, you always want to deal with a reputable place which has a very good return policy. Amazon is one good source, with competitive pricing, and an excellent return policy. I'm sure @essenbe will concur on that one.

The list from PCPartsPicker just shows stores with the lowest price at the time you put the list together. I don't go by that, except to get the total price estimate.

Click on Bookmarks, right-click the bookmark you want to rename, select Properties and put a new name in the box that pops up?
