    System build question

Im adding some watercooling and plan on upgrading my motherboard and proc but my question is setup of the graphics card. My mobo has 3 pci express x16 slots marked pciex16_1 pciex16_2 pciex16_3. I want to know if i can put my graphics card into slot 2 instead of slot 1 or top slot. Is there any loss of performance being the 2nd slot?

I would not think there would be any difference what slot you use. Have you looked in the motherboard manual?

OOPS- the manual says there is a version 2.0 slot and version 3.0 slot?

According to your motherboard manual, which I would recommend you consult, PCIe x16 slots 1 and 2 (top and middle) are PCIe 3.0 slots and PCIe x16 slot 3 (bottom) is PCIe 2.0. So, I would assume you would want to use the top or middle PCIe x16 slots first.
