GPU Upgrade - RTX 4070Ti or RX 7900XT?

I've been happily running a GeForce GTX 1660Ti for a few years now, and did not really feel I needed an upgrade, since I do not really play many games - my go to game is still the COD MW series, so I did not really need all that much GPU power.

But having recently upgraded my PC a full 5 generations from an 8700K to a 13700K, and upping my RAM to 64GB DDR5 (current build listed in System Specs), I am feeling the itch to upgrade my GPU.

    So the question arises:
    Which one do I get
    1. GeForce RTX 4070 Ti
    2. AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT

    Please advise.

I'm an Nvidia convert. I went from AMD to Nvidia last year with a 3070 ti, and what a difference in performance.

Get the 4070 ti. You won't be disappointed.

    My opinion at least...

Going to be that guy i feel this holds merit, there is no point in upgrading to something that will essentially be dead weight, i guess it depends on how subjective you are when you say you barley game like if you playing Esports titles like cod, lol or wow etc then you don't really need to upgrade the 1660TI is still a solid card.

What is barley game? like once a week? once a month? you only play cod? Games like COD, CSGO are not very demanding and can run on a PC's from 10 years ago because they are in the business of making money which means they want to be as compatible and lightweight to run as possible.

if you want to actually run some modern simulation heavy games ultra everything on high resolution and RTX features then do the upgrade.

you are also buying in at the end of the run when buying a 70 series that is a lot of money for something that is close to the end of its cycle. its also the no frills budget card and in some cases the Frankenstein card.

I would save the money personally unless i could justify the upgrade now, that money would be better justified when the new series comes, or just in general. I don't know what they are over there but here its a $1k+ card which is expensive for being low in the family.
