Just curious does it get pretty toasty? A 1080 Ti throws out a bit of heat... Any reason for building an ITX case? What do you use it for?

Well for one I wanted more space on the floor of the room and the tower was by a window that's hard to get to with it there and I also kept tripping over the damn thing in the night getting to said window. I also occasionally will need the horsepower of the rig for VM's ect and would actually take the R6 to a job site at times and this is a way better fit for that use case. As well as since building an Unraid box downstairs in a R5 I didn't really need a huge case anymore. I also wanted the challenge and after covid is over I hope to travel way more and kinda wanted to prepare for that. I actually went to a Core 500 and then the SM550 then to the SM580. The FTW3 actually stays pretty cold as it's a fully vented sides sandwich style case. The only issue I have is my chipset temps that kick up the loud small fan that I plan to replace or augment with some 60mm noctuas above the m.2. This is a known issue with this board and I did already take it apart and replace the thermal pad (some of these shipped without the pad entirely) on the heatsink with a better one that helped somewhat. Next I plan to replace the pad with a copper shim with paste in between. Here is a pic of the system at idle in 82f ambient at the moment. GPU is not in the pic but it's at about 41c driving 4 monitors.

Nice build and case @seek. I was interested in the 011 AIR. Do you know you can put fans on the side wall as well? You could try your AIO radiator in the side wall position as exhaust and have front fan intake air as an alternative.
Hey, thanks I ended up doing this

Thanks to my work buying a couple 3700X boxes I have a genuine AMD wraith cooler on my Dell at home. The size and weight difference is massive and now my CPU doesn't top 70c under full load. Super glad to got off the dell knockoff.
