I havent had any problems on my personal laptop that I did a fresh install on. Seems like the upgrade is the problem. Unfortunately, I dont want to fresh install on my work laptop.

I have a Surface Pro 2 which also is unable to find the network adapters after upgrading. Although I didn't have the Cisco VPN I did have the SonicWall VPN plus another. I reverted back to 8.1 and uninstalled both VPNs and did the re-install of 10 again.

    Still no luck.

I do hope Microsoft finds a fix for this - I have absolutely no intention of doing a refresh.

I downgraded to W8.1, uninstalled Cisco VPN client, but could not uninstall another VPN client I have, called 'FortiClient' due some missing file, so I will try to upgrade to W10 again anyway. Windows Udpdate is downloading W10 again at the moment. I wonder why, since it was already dowloaded yesterday. Go figure. The download was executed again for you guys too ?

Embarrassingly, I actually installed and reversed three times (I only uninstalled the SonicWall VPN on the first reinstall then realized I had the second VPN). Each of the last two times Windows Update downloaded the files again.

Ouch! I hope I will not have to downgrade again, because W8.1 won`t let me uninstall that FortiClient thing...

What about those upgrading from Windows 7? I have the same issue but I do not see any Cisco VPN clients in my programs. I have a Dell Lattitude E6540. I reverted back to Windows 7 for now. Is my VPN program maybe called something else? Thanks.

That's just it though. I do not have Cisco installed. So I am not sure what else could be causing the issue.

Have you installed the VPN client after upgrading to Windows 10? I have to have the VPN so if it simply doesn't work with Windows 10 I'm stuck on 8.1

yes, but with a caveat. you need to do this first:
Fix Cisco VPN Error 27850 on Windows 10 - Spiceworks

download that driver, install it, then install cisco.
it installed no problem, however i cannot connect. i'm wondering if server side issue. would love to know if you install and if you can connect as before.

Thanks. I think I'm going to go ahead and use the Shrew Soft VPN client.

Downgrading Windows back to 8.1, removing Cisco, then redoing the upgrade worked for me. I had both Cisco VPN and Cisco AnyConnect.

I have not had time yet to try reinstalling.
