    Network defaults to public

I have noticed in the last couple of builds the network defaults to public instead of private. I can see that on a tablet but not on a desktop. It is not hard to change the network to private but I wonder how the upgrade will behave on the millions of users who have small private networks. I think there should be an option during installation. If there is currently one there I must have missed it. Maybe MS will change this when the RTM comes out.

Clean installation defaulted to public. If your upgrade stayed private then I think that will be good to go. I was surprised to see the network default to public in 10162 and 10166. That was the first time I had ever seen that.

I don't see anywhere during install that you can change that. Would have to be done post install.

This seems like a significant security problem to me and should be fixed, or you should be able to change this during the install.

I think it would be dangerous to share files when your network is public.

That happened to me after one of the build updates, I found the registry method posted here worked for me.
