I back up to an external drive that I know will be toast, but also to Idrive. They assure me that even if an bad copy is put on, the previous copy will still be there. But One Drive will just have the one copy.

Not so much how to get the passwords. Having them written down makes sure that during an event that you or your wife pass away. The very first thing that a person handling the estate is looking for the folder or papers for that information. I was the only one who knew where my next door neighbor kept her financial passwords and wills. Her own daughters were too shook up from her passing that morning, they did not even know where it was at that moment, since they had to be at the funeral home later that afternoon.

Trust me on this. Login information with the will/trust documents, along with account numbers, addresses for financials, phone numbers, local contact person or office if there is one, same for if you have a pension and who they contact. Makes it a lot easier when things can change in a blink of an eye.

It made her daughter's realize that they would have been lost if I was not there. Too emotional for them, since she had started yo go downhill rather quickly that week. Her wish was to die at home and not be hooked up to a bunch of machines.

I only knew where it was in her filling cabinet and on her desk, since she would have me come over and fix the computer, or get her some stuff to take to where she sat in her back room.

My wife keeps a spreadsheet with all of the login info on it printed and keeps a local and portable copy. I keep the same password on my machine as I do on my icloud, so if she does have to get into mine, it is easy for her or my son.

Yes it is, even if it is just a family only and cremation.
