    Putting the same SSID Name just means people can not distinguish one from the other, Hardware is connecting to the strongest Signal.
    Just because they give you 10 different VLAN's to allow you to replace 10 different Access Points, does not mean that it will allow you to get the same speeds as just one access point per VLAN.

    If you enable all 10 SSID's, you will find that you cannot even touch the shell of the A/P, because you are basically having the unit cpu run at a faster rate and with that you are dealing with a lot of heat generated from the radios transmitting on all 10 SSID's on that same channel for that band.

    Your question was answered in how to setup the 5Ghz channel if that is all that you are going to use. In the majority of setups you are not going to be able to use the 5GHz channel, because you could end up with devices that do not have a 5Ghz capable wifi chip in them. That is when you need to also setup the 2.4ghz radio with the correct channel and the 5ghz also with the correct channel. It also comes down to using inSSIDer or one of the other tools like it to see what is on both bands.

    It just happens that if you search for setting up 5GHz for DFS channels, which are now allowed. It will state to place the 2.4ghz radio on Channel 3 and the 5Ghz radio on channels 100,104,108,112.

    I did not say anything of that.
    Let me make it clear, 1 Radio, 1 Channel, 1 Connection. It is not possible to have 1 RADIO to synchronize 2 frequencies a same time, not on the Earth at least.
    The 10 Channels I have around me, they have all the same SSID, exactly the same, and I can see all them only in Router where it shows its transmitting channels , in my Laptop I see only 1 of them, although I can connect the router to any of them , but on Laptop I do not have that choice.

    The Firmware for the Access Point decides how to route the connections to which radio. If you are not seeing 2.4 & 5ghz, that means that your adapter on your laptop is not capable of it. If it is, that means changes were made to the driver properties.

    A Wireless-ac adapter will see the 2.4 & 5hz radios and will see the channels for both. My network as I have stated before, uses Channel 3 and Channels 100,104,108,112. That means that the Band Steering part of the firmware for the Access Point and the other part of the firmware that handles managing connections on the radios. All devices on my network that are dual radio capable, will use Channel 3 as set on the 2.4ghz radio and will get assigned to one of the four 5ghz radios. When it sees too many devices on a certain 5ghz radio, it will place that device on one of the others. If the max set devices that I have set in the administration side reaches that percentage, it will start dumping everything over that number to the 2.4ghz radio, until devices start leaving 5ghz.

    When your wifi card goes looking for an access point if set to automatically choose between 2.4 and 5ghz. It will start searching on the 2.4ghz radio. If it find that the Access Point is 5ghz capable, it will automatically go to 5ghz and connect to the Access point.

    The newer firmware are a lot better in managing the connections than the older ones. Also those who insist on locking their access points to 5ghz are not doing theirselves any favors.

    If I decide to walk across the street to the sub shop that is around 150 feet away. My phone will drop to 2.4ghz as told by the access point through Band steering and will start using the G band and still of course drop the speeds, because the device has to keep the connection, while trying not to put more power to keep the faster signal, which will actually start using up battery life and will cause the device to overheat.
