    Can’t connect to the internet, windows search functions also gone


    So out of the blue I lost connection to the internet. I can connect to the network but it says “no internet, secured”. I tried rebooting it, no use.

    Other devices are connecting fine and have internet access.

    I tried a network reset reset, it does nothing.

    When I try to view the properties of the network connection nothing happens.

    I can’t reset the computer or revert to a back up, I’m in the middle of final year projects in college. I’d really appreciate any tips!

    Hi, please for anyone attempting to answer this...
    - specify your Windows build as prompted by the forum when you wrote your post
    - provide the specs of your PC (click My computers under my post for examples - tutorial available if needed in theTutorials section)

    How are you connecting to the internet? If Wifi, try ethernet, or vice versa.

    “no internet, secured”
    - usually requires you disconnect, reconnect.

    Do you mean
    - internet search (browser)?
    - search in Settings?
    - search using file explorer's search box?
    - search using the search bar (on the taskbar by default)?
    - something else?

What is the difference in the search functions? you have search permanently docked on the Taskbar and then search permanently set in the Start Menu so, why are there 2 searchers (one right under the other)? Do they do different things?
