I've used every trouble shooter and share option. Checked settings in services. Updated wireless adapter drivers, even used an USB wireless adapter

Are you saying you are being connected to the Internet, can browse various sites, but cannot connect to a physical network such as in a business?
I can connect to internet and have no problems there. Because the computer says I am "not connected to a network" I can't access my other computers or shared printer from another computer. I need to show private network.
My laptop is an Inspiron N4110, equipment:
11AC1200M Wireless Adapter
WD MYNET AC1300 Router
Motorola SB6120 Cable Modem
Have you got a guest network set if you login to a guest network you wont see any pc on the local network
This is regular login the other 3 computers all see each other okay. I need the computer to see that it is connected to a network so I can even begin to try and change it from public to private.
