    Start/Connect to/Show all connections

    Up will come: "Network Connections"
in left panel choose: "create a new connection"

Up will come: "Welcome to the New Connections Wizard"
THEN choose Either of two options

    1) connect to the internet
Then choose from a list of internet service providers
    like msn
or "refer to more internet service providers"
From there you can choose one if you want to buy their
    services

    2) Set Up my Connection Manually
    Then connect using broadband connection
Then type in the name of your ISP and it will give you
    name for your connection....

I could not take the next steps as they would mess up
my own connection....but at least I have got you this far
Sweetie. Option # 2 might be the better of the two...
If you can not do it manually then yuo might have to
    choose option # 1

If doing it manually you may need to contact your ISP for the settings they want you to use.

    Fergus,

This will give you all sorts of info to help you diagnose the problem, or to provide to others who might be able to help you.
