Windows 10 Build 10061 will not connect to internet

Just upgraded from Windows 10 build 10056 to the new 10061 build. Cannot connect the my wired ethernet network adapter since upgrading....Project Spartan works just fine; however, Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Tor, etc will not connect. Resorted to going back to 10056; however, would really like to run the latest build. It has to be something simple; however, can't seem to get it to work. Any ideas to this problem would be greatly appreciated....

You can't even say MS is forcing you to abandon all 'other' browsers because IE doesn't connect!

Your problem is very seriously weird. Could even be unique. I'm racking my brain to think of anything you could test to narrow it down but I can't think of anything.

Sorry I can't help but keep us posted if you can track the problem down. I am intrigued!

I just downloaded 10061 I had to try three times before getting message that there was a problem and to try later.
Kept trying, when it started downloading it only took 15 to 20 minutes. Seems to be working ok at first look but haven't
had a chance to use it very much. Time will tell. My desktop still shows my build at 10049, but it is 10061.
    good luck all

Strange if your desktop shows 10049 when it is 10061. How do you know it is 10061?

What vers does it say in Control Panel/Administrative Tools/System Info?

Try setting Mozilla as the default browser
(the exercise is to make something other than Spartan the default browser, my images show Chrome)

Set Mozilla as the default browser
Control Panel -> Default Programs -> Set Default Programs

Windows 10 Build 10061 will not connect to internet-x2.png

    --AND--

Control Panel -> Default Programs -> Set program access and computer defaults
    Custom:
select the radio button for Mozilla even though it 'looks' like it is already the default
