    Naaaah < not that.

    i am using Alfa change network adapter name-untitled.jpg

    and want to change adapter name for it ?

    Might not be able to, most hardware/devices have their name or identity built in.

    Just was curious, thought maybe you wanted to rename the Wi-Fi identification of a Router such as changing from Linksys or Cisco to MyHomePlace or Outhouse1.

    You might be able to change the name of the company in the inf file.
    I'm not sure how that might affect the network adapter in Win10. I had an older USB network adapter that I had to change the .inf so that it used a driver from the chip manufacturer, not the driver form the USB adapter maker.

    Win7 & Win8 were fine with the change, but Win10 would not install it due to driver signing.

    You can use device manager to determine the .inf file - on the details page, scroll down to inf

    Make a copy of the original just in case you have to replace it.

    Know that there is some risk of losing the function of the network adapter - do this at your own risk. I have not tested it.

    Look first, think second, do third.
