    Network protocols missing, can not connect to only ONE COMPUTER

    First of all, I want to say that I've tried every solution there is for this problem, from reinstalling drivers, wifi card, all cmd commands and even importing working registry values, from another computer...

    In short, nothing worked.

    Laptop "P"=windows 10, hp laptop, the one with problem (hence "P")
    Computer "X"=windows 7, desktop computer, on this one I created VPN through windows VPN service
    Router=linksys, I've set up ports and everything for VPN, and in short everything worked
    Other(computers)= Other laptops Win7&Win10 on my home network

    Now to explain what is going on: 5 days ago everything worked(I was able to access computer(let's call it computer "X") on my home network and shared files), then 3 days ago I created a VPN connection(on computer X, through windows VPN utility) to my computer X, so that I can access external HDD from other places. Ok, everything worked, VPN was ok, working fine, everything was ok.
    Then 3 days ago when I came home I've connected laptop P on my home network on which are all computers connected(Laptop P, Computer X and Other). As before I tried to access Computer X through Network->Computer X, but I've got the One or more network protocols are missing on this computer error, when troubleshooting the problem.
    After that I've tried all suggested methods and everything but nothing worked.
    Funny thing is, that I'm able to access every computer in every other way possible, for example:
    Other->Laptop P and vice versa = works
    Other->Computer X and vice versa= works
    Computer X->Laptop P= works
    Laptop P->Computer X= ERROR (One or more network protocols are missing on this computer)
    (VPN was Laptop P-> Computer X= it worked).

    TLDR:
    After setting up VPN and connecting laptop P through VPN to computer X, and after returning home I can not access Computer X on laptop P over Network->Computer X. But it worked before I've set up VPN... They are all on the same network, over a router.

    So if anyone has any tips on what to do next or what to try please please help me...

    If you search for "Network Protocols missing" on here, you will find that it is a well beaten horse. The problem is that Microsoft locked down Guest for SMB/CIFS, which is needed in order for computers to communicate on a network. The fix is really simple, since it is just two steps.
