    Help I need permission

Hi there everyone, I'm hoping I can find some help here I've really exhausted all my resources around me.

So my problem is with file sharing. I got a second computer to put in my sound booth for recording and am trying to locally setup a shared folder between it and my main PC. (connected over wifi, as network cable would require wires across the entire house)

My first attempt, I selected a folder on my MAIN pc to connect to with my REMOTE computer. I was able to get the remote computer to see the main pc, but was unable to connect saying something about not being able to connect to the PC, I cant really remember the error.

I kept fooling around trying to figure it out, and now the remote PC doesn't see the main PC, but the main PC can see the remote.

Soo, I set up a folder on the remote computer and gave permission to Everybody with FULL CONTROL.
Now my main PC can see the Remote, and can open up the shared folder, even take files out.
But I cannot add/or change anything.

Says I need permission to perform this action.

I'm fine with the shared folder being on the remote PC, its not the end of the world, and it seems like my closest solution.
I just cant figure out how to give my main PC the permission it requires.

Can anyone help me? I'm helpless when it comes to networking. Its the most convoluted mess.

Networking can be frustrating. Windows networking can be really frustrating.

Fortunately, there is a dandy tutorial on this site to help you through the process Share Files and Folders Over a Network in Windows 10.

I think step No. 6 of Option No. 2 dealing with read/write permissions may be just what you need.

omg thank you for the link! It was actually number 7 on the list that helped me.

There was another section of permissions in the advanced sharing i'd completely missed.

    It was set to read.

holy wow i've been at this for days
    Thanks you so much.
