    Another Windows 10 HomeGroup problem

    Hi

Several months ago I created a Home Group and all was working fine. I hadn't made use of it in a while and the password has since gone from my memory.

The problem I'm having is I can see under the Network tab that both PC's are connected but I am unable to grant/change access to any folders because I do not know the password I set which it prompts for when trying to add folder access to another pc.

When I go to Home Group page in Windows the only option I have is to join the Home Group that I already created? And the option to change the password is not selectable (This is the pc I set the Home Group up with).

Any ideas on where to start?

Control Panel/All Control Panel Items/HomeGroup Look for View or print the homegroup password.

Third party Internet Security Software is what usually causes this problem. Try removing it and leaving the Home Group.
