    Downgrade Windows 10

    Hello,

I upgraded to Windows 10 a couple of weeks ago and now I have many Problems. Here just a few of them:

    1) Laptop Keyboard and Touchpad are not found.
    2) Wifi doesnt connect automaticly
    3) Wifi always diconnects.
    4) Outllook doesnt find Servers automaticly. Manual connection worked after a while and then after 2 Days everything is gone.
    5) Steamcloud flash videos stop all the time.
    6) DVDs do not play when put in.
    7) Booting and opening apps takes ages
    8) etc etc...

For most of the Problems I tried many guides online and most just didnt work... I am so frustrated with Windows 10... How can they produce and release this?

It would be nice to fix all these Problems. I believe the easiest way is to downgrade!
How can I go back to WIndows 7 or 8? But id like 7 the most. (I came from 7, went to 8 then to 8.1 and now 10.)

If you don't have your Windows 8 product key, the first thing I would do is run showkey plus from this forum to get it:
    Showkey - Windows 10 Forums

To go back to Windows 7 you will have to clean install Windows 7. If you don't have the Windows 7 disc, you can try to download it here with your Windows 7 product key:
    Windows 7

You can try to undo the upgrade to Windows 10 like this:
    Windows 7

If that option works, it will take you back to where you were before the upgrade to Windows 10.

    Hey,
Thank you for answering so fast.
The Key shown with Showkey is not the one I wrote down once. Did it change through the upgrade?
On the Website I also entered my Win7 Key. It says its not valid. Can licences run out?

You have to understand that WIndows 10 doesn't magically fix a broken system, so when you upgrade a system that may have a lot of problems, those problems may be carried forward, and intensified.

If the upgrade doesn't work for you, you should re-install Windows 10 clean.

That is because the link given to you can ONLY apply to Retail Win 7 product key.
Oem Win 7 product key will be rejected.
I know as I had tried that myself.
In fact I still have the screenshot...................................

    Helpless,
If you want to go back to Win 8.1, here is how to, provided you installed Win 10 less than 30 days ago, and provided you have not deleted the windows.old from the computer.

Start button > left side, click Settings > select Update and Security > left side, click Recovery > right side, under Go back to Windows 8.1, click the Get Started button > follow the prompt from then on.

@davidhk, that site is flaky... I can't get my (technet) retail keys to work there either.

Lisa, there is an "unofficial Mirror for Windows 7 ISO download" site (we can't post links to unofficial downloads but google it) it has links to the original MSDN page for hash checking.

BTW: How is the key you get different? Post a screenshot (mask keys by clicking them)

As far as I understand, no keyfinder can retrieve the pre-installed Windows OS product key.
If Lisa wants to use Showkey to find her pre-installed Win 7 product key, all she will find is a set of key that the computer manufacturer used for mass production. That is why it does not match with the one she has written down before.
That key retrieved by Showkey is not for personal activation purpose.

    That is my understanding.
If I am wrong, please someone correct me.

Assuming she has an OEM install yes, that's why I requested a screenshot.
