There is a lot of things I just don't understand with Windows 10. Unfortunately got to roll with it as it's the future but Windows 7 is much better. Too many bugs (some may get addressed but many will go untouched) and removed features on 10. They'll keep on releasing new builds creating more bugs. The ones that might get fixed will keep replaced with new ones. Still can't believe how they brutally ripped out native DVD playback and in turn lost mpg (a major format) native playback too. It's so mobile centric that it's not as great a desktop experience. Networking is a bread and butter aspect of Windows but they have not covered themselves with glory. MS needs to slowdown, stop trying to innovate and focus on the glitches

@AndreyT, Is there a solution for this, yet? It's been ~7 months since you posted and I'm hoping you know something that I don't. I'm currently on build 14295.rs_1release.160318-1628. I really hate this. My friends on Mac OS X can interface better with the CIFS shares than I can.

This continues to be a problem for me and I'm looking for any advice to overcome this. Network share folders randomly disconnect. I've seen discussions on other forums that this may relate to group policy updates, but as I'm using a home version, I cannot edit the Group policy. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

One of the problems is if you try and connect to a share windows doesnt search for it but asks the master browser if thats out of date you have a problem so if a pc is MB and turned off a new one has to take over it then has to send out requests to all the network for details hence the delay if you scan with this util it will tell you MB and you may see it change if you run it a few times NetBScanner - NetBIOS scanner
