Do you have the File and Printer sharing (SMB-In) enabled on your Windows 10 Firewall? Windows Firewall/ Advanced Settings/Inbound/File and Printer sharing (SMB-In)
Thanks wyldman, I had checked there before and ended up just disabling the firewall altogether for a bit & that didn't help. But I did, just now, check again with your specific instructions. I had File and Printer Sharing (SMB-In) checked for public and private but not domain. I corrected that.
SUCCESS!!
I got a TRENDnet TE100-MFP1 USB Print Server.
I can now share to the Kodak ESP c310 AiO with my new PC running Windows 10 & my 2 Macs. running Yosemite.
Its not really a server I guess. You have activate the little app on the computer you want to print from in order to put the printer 'on-line' for that computer. Only one computer at a time can have the printer 'on-line'. But I just dropped the icon in the dock for one click access, pretty easy, and we don't use the printer every day or anything.
The little scan app that comes with it is usable, for sure, but not great, and it doesn't seem to be Mac compatible. I tried to use a 3rd party scan app like VuScan but it didn't find the scanner.
Anyway, I'm saying problem solved!! It was less than half the price of a new printer!
