Well I've tried every solution I've seen thus far and nothing has worked. This error occuring happens at completely random times. I've scanned my registry for errors, no problems. I've replaced my router/modem and am still having this issue. It also is occuring on a tablet, its internet connection gets lost as well. The only thing that gets me back on the internet is unplugging my router/modem and then plugging them back in but the error persists. If anyone knows of other solutions that has worked, feel free to spill the beans..
Using cmd netsh ipv4 install plus disabling the relevant ipv6 adapter worked for me. Thanks folks!
Had the same problem on a Dell laptop. After much hair pulling, found it was fixed after uninstalling Avast Pro anti-virus.
Hope this helps someone.
What I tried:
netsh int ipv4 install - didn't work.
Went into the adapter settings as suggested elsewhere on this thread, disabled both IPv4 and IPv6, pressed ok.
Enabled them again (6 then 4, pressed ok) - and wallah (I think it was the IPv4 that did it).
Thanks a mil for the suggestions, this was driving me mad, really appreciate it.
Amazing there can be different ways to solve the problem.
Interesting reading, Thanks, folks.
I've had this problem for a couple of days now, but first encountered it back in March. I've found no solution to it. I've tried pretty much everything I've found online. I just don't understand what causes it. Why are there so many possible solutions? How can these protocols be there one moment and missing the next. Why hasn't Microsoft sorted the damn' thing out?
