Need more info. Do you see the hotel's hotspot in the list of available hotspots? What happens when you try to connect? Do you get an error?

Often once you connect to the hotspot, you need to open a browser to access the login page.

I connected to it, it says limited, and no login page shows up

Does anyone else have problems? The hotels usually have a help desk number to call. Since the networks are managed by a third party.

    Hi there
sometimes if the hotel is very busy then too many people are logged on and you'll experience the above problem.

This isn't a Windows problem I'd imagine. Normally hotels though have a login page - even if you don't have a password there's usually a conditions or "I agree" button to click before the network will connect.

    Cheers

Limited connection means you cannot access the internet yet. You must open your browser, the first screen will be a login screen. After you login with the password they gave you, you should access the internet without any problem.

Correct Captive Portal is should come up when you connect. I would have it automatically open up the browser on my old Compaq Laptop that ran XP.
