I for one would go to my PC manufacturer's website and check there for updates to all system drivers for Windows 10 if have them or next equivalent. Do not use third party driver update apps. Doing what you did in device manager can help, letting it search online for drivers. If other system are connecting to the router, then you know you have connectivity, still can be issue with connectivity setup on this system. Make sure have all windows updates and try SFC and DISM, but if no internet connection may have issues with those.
So I tried everything above, sfc /scannow, DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth, safe mode then sfc and then chkdsk c:/r, checked my drivers on ASUS website reapplied it and none of it worked.

So I use the revert back to 8.1 option under Recovery in Settings and everything is in order now. Thank baby Jesus.

Do not know much about your system to say what caused it (specs), this the laptop you show here in profile ? Could of been some conflict, incompatibility and system configurations. You just updated to Windows 10 and this occurred ?

It is an Asus laptop (model D550C) purchased around a year ago, maybe 2. The primary use is for casual net surfing and minor office work. It has an Intel i3 core, 4Gig of ram, Intel integrated graphics and originally installed with Win8 x64 (not 8.1).

Yes, the problem started when the Win10 upgrade was done. Much to my surprise my 8 year old HP laptop upgraded to Win10 with less problems than the one above. Although, the HP laptop is having some wifi network disconnects at a location that I'm currently staying, but I digress.

Anyway, thanks for helping me diagnose the problem. I will probably try to upgrade it back to Win10, but now's just not the time, I guess.

Strange how Edge had connectivity and no others did. But after going back to Windows 8.1 all is fine with connectivity. Wondering what caused this as seems has to do with WiFi in some way configuration or maybe some firewall settings.
If do decide to go back, repost here and maybe think about clean install of 10, although not sure what solved it by going back. Your welcome.
