Mirracast over Cat5? or Can I connect to my Xbox One Wireless display?

Desktop is wired on cat6, Xbox can be wired or wireless. Question is: Can you connect a wired computer to the wireless display feature in Win10 on the Xbox One?

I believe that Miracast is purely and only for WiFi. You could probably pop a cheap WiFi adapter in the desktop to use it.
